No Clay
Dolphins FB/TE Charles Clay went on injured reserve this week meaning he won’t be a part of Miami’s passing game Sunday against the Bills. Clay hasn’t been used as much in the Dolphins new offense, but was always capable of making plays against Buffalo. Last year’s game in Miami Clay posted four catches for 69 yards and a touchdown in a lopsided win for the Dolphins.
 
 
Bills Number 1 Must
Red zone touchdowns – Buffalo got lucky in the first meeting with the Dolphins holding on for a 19-14 victory after settling for four field goals on four red zone possessions in the first matchup between the two teams. That lack of success inside the 20-yard line is unlikely to produce another victory on the road at Miami.
WR shortage?
The loss of Clay could be compounded by the back injuries suffered by receivers Brian Hartline and Davone Bess. Hartline practiced sparingly on Wednesday this week and Bess did not practice at all. They rank first and second on the Dolphins in receptions and receiving yards. If neither can go on Sunday, Miami would be left with just three healthy receivers in Marlon Moore, Armon Binns and rookie Rishard Mathews. Binns just joined the club a few weeks ago while Moore and Mathews have just six catches each this season for Miami.
 
 
2 – vs. Nate Garner – With rookie Jonathan Martin forced to move to left tackle, fifth-year reserve Nate Garner has stepped in at right tackle. Garner is a better pass blocker than run blocker, but will have his hands full with Williams.

1 – vs. Reshad Jones – Jones, who earned praise from Bills head coach Chan Gailey this week, helped to hold Chandler to just two catches for 30 yards in the first matchup. Chandler is nicked up, but eager to put up more production the second time around,Nike Free 7.0.

The Dolphins rank 26th in pass defense and they have not helped to mask that ranking with takeaways. Some might express concern about the risk of Wood’s long term health in a game that has no impact on Buffalo’s postseason aspirations after the Bills were mathematically eliminated following their loss to Seattle last week. Wood maintains he can’t make his injury any worse.
“If he’s not healthy enough to do it then he won’t play,” Gailey said. “But if he’s healthy enough we all know the quality of player that he is and you want him on the field.”
 
“I’m not going to risk further injury, but most people at this point in the season aren’t at 100 percent. It may bother me a little bit,” Wood said. “There’s risk in injury every time you step on the football field and I don’t think I’m putting myself at a greater risk by coming back this week if it feels good. I want to show this organization that even if I get dinged up I’m going to fight to come back no matter what.”
He’s only suffered in Week 13 against Jacksonville,Joe Montana Jersey, but starting center targeted playing in the final two games of the season all along. He may not have the final say, but after taking to the practice field Wednesday he has a shot to suit up Sunday in Miami.

“We’ve been kind of working it the last few days and it felt good,” Wood said. “It keeps feeling better and better so hopefully by Sunday it’ll feel real good.”
Buffalo’s athletic training staff put Wood through the paces earlier this week to test his recovering knee, and he was encouraged by how it held up.

On Seattle’s first touchdown, DE appeared to chase RB Marshawn Lynch inside on the option fake, giving Wilson a clear lane for a 14-yard scoring run,Colin Kaepernick Womens Jersey. got caught later in the first quarter when Wilson ran for 19 yards on Seattle’s second scoring drive. In the second quarter, Mario Williams again bit inside on the read option fake, and Wilson went around the right side for a 13-yard touchdown run.
But his pass protection struggles were highlighted with a couple of plays in the second half. Chris Clemons’ sack early in the third quarter came on a speed rush around Glenn. And later in the third, Clemons beat Glenn around the corner and got to Fitzpatrick, stripping the ball loose. Glenn had a chance to flop on the ball but he couldn’t, and Seattle’s Bruce Irvin recovered and ran it back to the ten yard line. Glenn will have better days in his NFL career.
 
? LT had his hands full all day with Seattle’s defensive line, and the 2nd round draft pick had a rough time right from the start. It started with a false start penalty on Buffalo’s first offensive snap. Glenn picked up another false start in the third quarter.
The Seahawks averaged 8.4 yards per carry against Buffalo and they did much of their damage out of their read-option running attack. Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson had a record of good production out of the option play going into the Buffalo game, and the Bills defenders say they practiced against that look during the week.
 
 
,Joe Flacco Black Jersey? The Bills rush defense took a major step backwards, after six straight weeks of solid play. They had held their opponents to four-yards or less per rush for the last six games, but that part of their defense collapsed against Seattle.
It didn’t look much better from the radio broadcast booth at the Rogers Centre Sunday. The Bills never gave themselves much of a chance to win, after falling behind early to Seattle.

Spiller’s trademark quickness and elusiveness were on display late in the first quarter. He caught Seahawks DE Chris Clemons flat-footed with his first move to the outside and then he made S Kam Chancellor miss with a great move. ? The Bills best offensive strategy a month or so ago was the screen pass. NFL Network Analyst Mike Mayock went as far to say Buffalo had the best screen passing attack in the league five weeks ago, when the Bills beat Miami. But the screen pass has been stymied in recent weeks.
Against Seattle, the Bills ran three screen plays, completing 1-of-3 screen pass attempts for minus-8 yards. Chan Gailey says Bills opponents are taking the screen play away from Buffalo’s offense.
 
 
 
“Yeah we worked on it all week,” Safety told me in the locker room after the game. “But seeing it in practice and playing and defending it in the game is two completely different deals sometimes. The way those runs were springing early on it had to be guys being overly aggressive doing more than what is asked of them on a given play and guys just trying to do too much as opposed to doing your particular job.”
