On playing again Sunday: “It’s a short turnaround, 5 o’clock game. It’s all in the mindset. It can be super difficult or it can be really easy. We’ve got a lot of good things that we can build on, and we’re going to focus on that tomorrow morning. We’re going to get together down here, we’re going to bring that into the room, we’re going to take the positive energy that we established out there. It’s a long and grinding series, and we’ve a lot of positive we can take from that. We’re going to build it up and bring it right back at 5 o’clock.”
On the short turnaround time: “Each series might be different. It was a very good hockey game tonight. Both teams have a lot more mental toughness and have built up more mental toughness that one game like this probably isn’t going to affect it.”
On offensive play: “We did a good job of keeping it in and getting to the net. We had a few point-blank opportunities on second chances around the net,

HERSHEY, Pa. — Rats LW Jiri Tlusty left the ice late in the first period with an apparent leg injury and did not return. Coach Jeff Daniels said he did not know the extent of the injury, although it seems doubtful that he would be available for Sunday’s Game 2. … To show the respect Hershey has for Rats G Justin Peters, he was given the game’s second star. He stopped 44 of 48 shots.
Would you have been happy going in with a lead in the third period? “We would have taken 3-3 after 60 minutes, too. It just comes down to next goal wins. It wasn’t a pretty one that beat us. It’s the first win who gets that ugly goal wins. That’s hockey, especially in playoffs. That’s why we play seven of ’em. That’s why we play four of seven. It’s not over in one. We’ve got a lot of positives we can take from tonight’s game.”
